Four Types Of Wheelchair Cushions

Wheelchairs are such valuable pieces of equipment for those with mobility problems or disabilities. Picking out the right wheelchair isn’t exactly easy since there are so many considerations such as terrain, body weight and specific needs of the one using the chair. That is one reason customized wheel chairs are so popular today.

Once you have chosen the best wheelchair for your needs, then you can choose accessories like the cushion. Actually, choosing the right wheelchair cushion takes some careful thought too. The cushion must not be chosen for comfort lone but also for medical benefits. A cushion must properly support the spine so the rule of thumb is to select one that is no more than 3 fingers thick. When it comes to wheelchair cushions, there are four main types you can choose from: air flotation, foam, urethane honeycomb and gel.

Investment options

There are several options in gold investment. The main
two options that are offered from bullion banks are allocated and
unallocated accounts. There are other type of investments available
like gold pool accounts, electronic currencies and gold accumulation
plans.

Allocated Accounts:
——————-
The most secure way, physically stored in a bank like safety deposit
box, owned and managed by the bullion dealer. The buyer has full
ownership and the dealer can’t lend, lease or trade the gold. It must
be available and ready for shipment for the buyer.

Unallocatea Accounts:
———————
Similar to allocated accounts, but the gold is not physically
present. Buyers won’t have to pay storage and insurance fees.
However, it can be made available to the buyer in two business days.

Bullion dealers in general do not deal with quantities under 1,000
gold ounces, which are mostly bought by institutions, large investors
or banks on behalf of their clients.

Gold Pool Accounts:
——————–
There are alternatives for investors wishing to open gold accounts
holding less than 1000 ounces. For instance, in Gold Pool Accounts -
where you have a defined, unsegmented interest in a Gold accounts
pool of gold - you can invest as little as one ounce.

Electronic Currencies:
———————–
Similar to unallocated/allocated funds, but payment is made online
via a credit card or checks.

Gold Accumulation Plans:
————————
GAPs is like a bank savings account, but instead, the currency used
is gold. A fixed amount of money, as little at $50 is automatically
debited from your bank account towards this fund. In the end of the
term, or usually as little as one year, the buyers can get their gold
in form of bars, bullion coins or cash.

Electric Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs mean so much to those with limited mobility. Thanks to wheelchairs those with restricted movement can become more mobile and regain their independence. There are two main types of wheelchairs and these are the manual wheelchair and the electric wheelchair.

Manual Wheelchair

The manual wheelchair has been in use for decades and has gone through many revisions. The constant feature has been that the chair is self propelled by pushing on the hand rims that surround the wheels. The user in effect pushes the wheels around and around to get from place to place. In addition to that, the footrests to a manual wheelchair can be removed and the user can walk the chair forward with his feet.

Electric Wheelchair

Electric wheelchairs are of course powered by batteries. These wheelchairs are bigger, heavier and sturdier because they must be able to support the additional weight of the motor and the battery. Electric wheelchairs also vary in their sophistication. Some are simple and use standard batteries and joy stick controllers. Others use microprocessors and robotic circuitry which enables the wheelchair to elevate itself on to wheels so it can go up stairs. The degree of sophistication is reflected in the price of an electric wheelchair. The prices can range from $2000 all the way up to $30,000.
